Classical music is really really really very very very nice. Kinda slow i know, but i really love the orchestration and the dynamics and the song structures. Every piece is like an epic. The only thing i hate is that they like to name their songs with numbers and keys. 5th Symphony, something in E minor, Opus 17, blah. Give them proper names like A Change of Seasons, Divine Wings of Tragedy or Boulevard of Broken Dreams. The epic-ness!

Speakers are going bonkers. I need new speakers that dun die in 1 year. Actually it's just the volume controller tt's going crazy. I need volume controllers that dun die in 1 year.

The small polar bears are always trying to push the big polar bear off the table. Recently i realised that the Swedish Moose joins in the fun as well. Push everyone off the table!

I have a habit of deleting stuff away, be it contacts, email, links or whatever. That means they are no longer important to me. If i have ur contact, means i value you. Be happy about that.

1 more week before my first paper. I cant say i'm 100% confident, but neither can i say im 100% clueless. Either ways, I just have to get done and over with it. And hopefully i am able to get a decent score to answer to my parents. Yea, they're quite the nag.

Ironically, im starting to play D2 again. Hmm in fact ive played so much for the past week that now the urge to play has died down. Lvl 70 Tesladin, Lvl 59 Necro and a useless lvl 30 MeteorOrb Sorc. D2 has gotta be one of the greatest games ever made. So much replayability. I've played this game at least 4 times. First time was when Nicholas just got it, so i kept going his house to play. Second was after A's when i bought over my bro's com so that i can have a solid computer to play D2. I'm still using this com now, and it's damn bang for the buck i must say. Third time is with Dear Daniel Soh during TDS days who got me hooked onto Bnet. Damn you haha! And now i'm playing it again. Until Diablo 3 comes out, i forsee i will come back to this game a few more times at least.

Listened to 3 of the newer tracks and finally decided to edit them, ie to make them louder. Yea they were really kinda soft for reasons i dunno y, but i did some mild adjustments and boosted the volume without clipping them. Sounds much better now. At least the nagging thought of the songs being too soft is gone. Yay.

I havent touched guitar for quite sometime, like.. a month? Brilliant, and i'm supposed to go and teach those pple in OMS. Hmm, i think i will really focus on guitar during the holidays. Then again, usually what i say, i do. But then i stop after 2 weeks. Heh. Hmm but at least the latest guitar practicing routine is slightly more interesting and organised. Shall continue to stick to it.

Got a very nice Muji organiser from my bro's gf. It's very sweet of her to buy me something, cos i totally din expect it. But, organiser.... it's like the worst present u can ever give me. Haha. Sorry to say that if u are ever reading ;) I'll try to find a good owner like Shirui who will totally use it to the fullest. Sad to say, my organiser is in my head. It's very messy now, jumbled with simplex tableaus, regression models, probability spaces and SAS/SPSS/R programs. And nothing else. Maybe some dirty thoughts about Shirui. Hmm, yea tt shld be abt it.

Everyone is making a big hooha of tt NTU video abt the "Gates of Hell" or smthing. Get over it la. Watch it and that's it. It's not even OMG enuff to warrant a post on anyone's blog for goodness sake. Sure it's QUITE kiasu, but it's not like a stampede or smthing. These are fucking ORGANISED AND STUDIOUS pple. Give them and give me a break.

Complete with 21 frets and all of the hardware to get some jang jang done! Ok, maybe one of the string bridges is missing, so probably u cant adjust the last string's intonation. And other than the rusty and "stiff" strings, everything is good to go!

This beautiful sunburst strat was given to me by Shirui for my 21st birthday. It's not very playable tho, cos there's only 10 frets, and they are all unevenly spaced. There's no input jack either!! And umm, the strings are nylon. Hmm probably it's supposed to be played like a classical guitar? If so, then what's the need for the 3 pickups? Oh no pickup selector either. But kudos to the whammy bar tho, cos if u cant play the guitar, at least u can still do some whammy tricks!

Ah~ the fabled tobacco sunburst Les Paul in the hands of Slash himself. Bought this baby last year. Do note that this is the authentic Gibson Les Paul here we're talking about. Complete with 22 frets, inlays, side bindings, knobs and pickups. Look how our dear Slash is playing a soulful bend. Ooh.

This has gotta be one of the most ridiculous yet most innovative idea i've seen in awhile:

Alright, sorry for the disappearance. Been caught up with work, projects and tests lately. Yea having projects and tests at this point in time is really sucky. Like it's 1 mth to exams and suddenly 2 projects are being shoved in your face? And they expect u to finish in 2 weeks? Quite wtf, but LL have to do it to score.

Quite fortunate to get good help for my projects, at least i wun have to do everything myself. Yea projects in NUS are shitty becos there's always the chance tt u get hooked up with those pple who S/U the module and thus dun really give a fuck abt anything on that module. Or those pple who's CAP score is already so shitty that they dun really care what grade they get, as long as it's a passing grade, it will suffice.

But i'm not like that u see. I have a decent shot at getting a Second Upper Class Honours, so every single mark matters to me. I can't heck care like those pple mentioned above, especially in projects, where it's a group effort. This usually translates to me doing the bulk of the work, and the rest of the pple submitting some slipshod nonsense to u. And u have to suck in their nonsense and transform it so that it looks something decent. Shit like tt happens to Chao too. Apparently project work's shitty-ness doesnt just happen in NUS, it happens in NTU as well.

This is one main reason y i hate doing group projects. The scale is so massive that it is difficult to handle it all alone, but yet ur shitty grp mates do not help out. I prefer solo projects way better. Actually, i prefer to work alone in most aspects of my life. I guess it's just in the nature of Scorpios.

But i'm not whining this time. My grp mates are all dependable pple this time round, and i believe we can all do well for the projects.

Anyways, enuff on work. It's my birthday in 1 week's time!!!! Time really flies, i can still recall what i posted on my birthday last year. And speaking of which, the maestro guitar is already 1 yr old haha, and i've only changed its strings twice throughout. Imagine all the gunk tt's on the strings. Eeewwww.

Shure SM58 Microphone - ard $160 : Actually i'm not sure if i really want this, cos gal has already proven to me that a good voice matters more than a good mic when it comes to recording vocals. Yea check out "Nobody's Going Home" for a good example. Recorded via an old karaoke mic. Think it's 10 yrs old. :D

A pair of Asics running shoes - ard $100++ : To replace my New Balance running shoes (NOT THE SHITTY ONE FROM SAF) which i bought in 2003 and which allowed me to run so fast that i was the 3rd fastest runner in NDU ^^. I still remember my best time was 8:25 for 2.4km. Power huh? But now cannot la, ORD already, must relac.

1 yr's subscription of Guitar Techniques magazine - ard 45 pounds : 13 issues of GT is quite alot. Saves me the hassle of going to hunt for the issues each month too. Btw GT is quite a good mag, in the sense that there's more stuff to play than random interviews/reviews in most guitar mags. And they cover a wide range of styles which is what i really like abt this mag.

A nice leather sling bag: Just so that i look cooler when i go to school. And to tell the truth i dun really like those sports sling bags than alot of pple carry ard nowadays. I'm going the mature route u know? And this sling bag is to accompany me as well when i move into the working society.

Line 6 Echo Park/MXR Phase 90/JD 535q Wah: Basically just GAS-ing for a delay, phaser and a wah pedal. BUT, pls do not buy me pedals for birthday presents, cos if there's a day i want to sell it i wun have the heart to do it. And then it will be a white elephant ard in the house.

A new iPod Video 60GB - $600++? : To replace ScratchyPod, even though ScratchyPod is totally fine. But ScratchyPod has only 20GB which is not enough to contain all the wonderful music that Chang has obtained-via-technological-means. 60GB can probably last alot longer, before i upgrade to a monstrous 100GB (if there is)

Oh ya i forgot Dream Theater's Score DVD - Must get!!

Actually i cant think of anything else already, and even if i dun get any of the above it will be alright, cos i'm quite satisfied with what i have now. Probably a good meal what i really really want. Mmm. I'm hungry now :D
