MacRitchie Treetop Walk today, as suggested by my hyper-active girl. Covered 11km in 3 hrs, braved through the vegetation and the stench of animal/human urine (NS helps alot here), fought some aggressive MONKEYS, just to walk tt 100m long suspended bridge. Well, as long as she's happy, i'm pretty much ok with it. Maybe cept for the monkeys.

Note to friends thinking of going MacRitchie: Hell lot of aggressive monkeys there. They growl like dogs, and attack you (if u are carrying food). Best is to go in a group, dun bring food, and be really aggro towards these monkeys. It's either u get scratched or they get kicked. Choose one.

Playing this little browser-based game called Travian with Louis. Start of with a small village, build up the resources and develop the city. Form a giant army and crush ur neighbours. Hmm but im the peace-loving kind, so maybe i wun crush other pple. Shrug.

Got my results back, actually it's kinda like a glitch in the system. But anyways i checked it and well, it's decent (maintained my cap). Expected alittle bit more though, but hmm, just not my luck. 2 mods which i predicted a minimum A- turned out to be something worse, and 2 mods which i din have much high hopes (just a B) ended up with something better. Well as Dan said, u win some u lose some. One thing is for sure, A+ for Science of Music. Kinda like a form of recognition of my music from the prof. I think i stunned him big time with my Strato's Sundance, since i kinda forsee tt it's gonna be so different from all the other grade 8 classical pieces and random cannot make it stuff. Thanks Bernard Tan, u know good music!

Stuff i'm checking out lately:

Derek Trucks: Brilliant slide guitarist. Grew up with the Allman brothers which more or less explains his slide skills. Featured in Guitar Techniques mag btw. Worth the listen many many times. Btw it's not all blues, there's alot of groovy songs in his album.

Dave Brubeck Quartet: Jazz band famous for writing songs in odd-time sigs. Most famous piece shld be "Take 5" which is written in 5/4 but swings like a 3/4. Interesting listen.

Mastodon: Riffs riffs and more riffs. Quite a heavy listen with all the growling vocals. But the rhythm work is top notch, just learning the riffs will kill one. Very technical stuff. No solos, but the riffs are enuff to impress.

Snow Patrol: Alternative Band famous for tt "Chasing Cars". Just wanted to hear what this band is all about. Pretty sweet stuff i'd say. Not too emo-ish.

After watching some of Zhang Ziyi's movies, i realised one thing: She has to get raped/violated at least 1 time in the show. And i havent really seen her acting in a modern film. Probably not suitable, though she really has got the face for the ancient china kungfu chick.

One song is keep repeating in my head now: Arch Enemy - Ravenous. This particular line:
