I realised that throughout my whole life, all the Vincents i know are relatively CMI (Cannot make it). It's quite an interesting trend. I shall try to stay away from Vincents as much as possible.
In NJ, i have 1 basketball junior named Vincent. He thinks he's really the best shooter in the team, but he's not even close to warming the bench. He shoots ugly, rarely makes a shot, and is really one of those pple that you'd go "Dude, u should change to another sport". Complete inaptitude for the game. But he goes around telling everyone how accurate he is, and once challenged me to a 1 v 1 duel. Which i won in like 5 mins?.
In Changi Naval Base, while i was on course, there's another dude with the V name. Looks like a complete drug addict, smokes way too much for his own good, slacks, keng, basically just a company parasite. Fortunately i was in the same section as him, but even then, i could feel his presence, or lack of it.
In Tuas Naval Base, my platoon sergeant is also named Vincent. They call him Vincent Dog (in chinese). Yes, he's like a lackey, but yet, a unliked lackey. Usually sergeants either side with the men, or side with the officers. He's special, no one likes him, so he sides with himself. There's too muh to say about him, but just note that the platoon set up a special altar using a biscuit tin with his headshot stuck on it. And yes, someone supplied hell money for him too. That is how much we hated him.
A few years back i got to know this J-Rock guy and he plays in "THE LEADING JROCK BAND IN SINGAPORE". Yes, he's called Vincent too, but he prefers to be refered by his jap moniker Koyuki, stolen from the anime Beck. Which is quite wtf. And he really thinks he's a rockstar, so-called sponsored by a local production company and all that. But he still has to set up his own gigs, sell his own tickets, blah blah. I dun see the difference between his band and any other wannabe mat band in sg. And yes, they played in Chingay's preview. Guess what? An angmoh wrote in the next day to complain about them. Sad to say, Japanese Death Rock doesnt sell. Yes, they are not close to metal, cos V can't play tt fast. Pity.
Is it a coincidence or is it on purpose that ineffective people are surrounding me? Do i attract the wrong crowd? Or do i purposely hang out with lesser people to make myself feel that i am more superior? Which implies which?
Note: If you are reading this and u think u are an ineffective person, most likely i view the same about you too. Which in that case, I dun really mind if u are CMI because i am a benevolent god (adapted from Xerxes in 300). But it will be wise to improve yourself to a level such that u will be of use to someone else and not constantly leech from people like me. Yea.
Final verdict: 99% of Vincents are CMI people. Yes this is an extremely biased estimate with an error bound of 0.01% at 99% significance level. Please avoid Vincents if u can. If not, good luck. Try not to know those tt i knew.
