Oh yea, i still hate my voice haha. But i guess the higher key this time helps open up the voice alittle bit more, so it doesnt sound as bad as "Tell Me". I also did alittle key shift for the outro, so yea tt's quite oomph eh? Haha. Damn ego now.

"Solos" was conceived while recording. That's pretty much what i came up with when i just whack. The e-rhythm guitars werent there initially, but after some noodling and riffing around, yea i decided to put them in. Kinda kicks the song into overdrive.

All sounds from the Cube 30. Nothing fancy.

Didn't bother to do vocal harmonising this time. I guess i'm just lazy. And tired. It sounds fine as it is now. Simple and clean enough.

I realise i prefer writing songs than engineering songs. Though it's kind of a painful fun when u try to realise the song in your head into reality. Fun but painful at the same time. Especially when i'm doing it by trial and error most of the time.

Anyways this song is a fun play on Shirui's eng name. So yea, dun get angry ok.

It's been almost a year since i produced a new song. So u can roughly imagine how good are the bands in churning out songs and albums on a yearly basis. Which is why i say this music business is really all about whether you have the flair for writing songs or not. And mind you, songs that stick in people's heads. Hard is probably an understatement.

I hurt my left middle finger so i have to shelf my recording plans for the moment. Bummer.

Caught Game 2 of the finals today. Magic finally managed to make some of their shots. But please tell Skip to not shoot the ball anymore cos everybody knows he's not going to make his threes. Howard still looks really lost on the offensive end, probably cos Gasol is too smart for him. Stop whining and go hard, instead of waiting for cheap foul calls.

But today's game showed that Magic can beat the Lakers, cos even when the Magic was playing sub-par they still had a legitimate chance to win. I really think this series is for the Magic to lose. Its more like they were giving away games to the Lakers.

Kobe's still deadly. Think he will be Finals MVP this time around. He's just too good already.

It's true that i'm quite negative most of the time. I just like to attack the weak points in people's ideas, and see how well they can defend their ideas. To me, it really reveals quite alot about a person. Some people give up quickly, some people don't really put much thought into their words, some just have blind faith, some put up a good verbal fight, some can really articulate and embarass me.

It really doesnt matter whether i win, or whether my opinion holds water. My opinion is just my opinion, it shouldn't have to be your answer. Which is why sometimes i dun really like to give some people my advice, cos some people tend to take it as it is, instead of understanding it and reformulate their own thoughts.

I just try my best to have educated and well researched opinions.

That being said, i do like to teach and impart knowledge. But only to people that really want to learn from me. I hate to waste time on people that are simply not interested. It's like talking to the wall, which i already get from msn where people just MIA halfway through a conversation.

That is why i can't be a teacher, or a tutor. But i guess i can be a guitar teacher, when my skills are up to par.

Almost finished writing the song. Will probably add more instrumentation first, then cut where necessary. I figured that this is the only way to go cos it's quite impossible to add on more midi instrumentation during the recording process. So the only way to go is to add as much junk and cut.

NBA Finals in 6 hours. Woo!

Been Diabloing for a while. Yea hardcore really keeps you honest.

But enough of that already. No more thinking about quirky builds and wonder if they can take on Hell.

Starting to work abit more on the song for Raine. Adding basslines now. Nothing too fancy as always. Can't say i can come up with very creative basslines. I'm really more of the "keep the most of the chord tones in beat with the kick drum" kinda guy.

Caught Sicko last night. Very sad and scary show. I understand why our country probably can't support universal healthcare, but medisave really isn't that much too. When you dun earn much, ur medisave sucks, u suffer when u are old. Insurance has alot of loopholes which companies will exploit to deny payment. It sucks to know u bought protection that is insufficient. And it's too late to supplement it when you need it.

In case anyone's in need of some nudity late at night, can watch Cashback. Quite a AF (arty-farty) show to justify the naked women.

No idea why i'm just really in the mood for some shit ass funny show, but none of the titles i currently have fall into that category.

Caught Gattaca just now too. Not bad, good plot. Can watch to get a good feel of what would happen if we are able to choose what our traits babies would have. I personally think that it's some sort of natural evolution, that any animal over the course of time will adapt and adopt stronger traits for survival and discard weak traits.

Koyuki started a new band. I'm supposed to go watch their live. It's pop this time, should be fine.

I'm starting a new chin up initiative. Basically, everytime i get out of the house i'll do 10 chin ups. Not very taxing, and i can easily clock up to 40 a day. Of course you can punish yourself by doubling frequency, like one set before u go out to somewhere, and one set when you come back.

Chin ups are good. Good for your pull up jumpers.

Kobe vs Dwight. Who will win? This probably comes down to tactics, cos the only problematic player in Orlando is Dwight. So if LA can get him into foul trouble, then they will have a easy time, with a good end game player like Kobe to finish games.

But from the Houston series u can see LA doesnt have much heart sometimes, and they are kinda weak in the paint too. I mean, Houston didnt have Yao and Mutombo and LA still struggled. So yea.

I dun take sides. I love both teams. They are all good.
