Phew, finally finished recording and mixing and sending out my latest song - Rain(e) (click).

Lyrics if anyone needs:
I hate it when it rains
On the days i wanna play
Oh i don't know why
Why it's raining everyday

Coincidentally
My girlfriend's named Raine
And i don't know how
She'll react when i say

Oh i hate you, hate you rain
Could you please go away
Oh i hate you, hate you rain
Could you please go away

Sometimes i would pray
That the rain won't come today
But the skies turned dark
Guess it's raining here again

And then i turned to Raine
"Look, We can't go on our date"
Then her face turned black
Now i'm taking all the blame

Oh i hate you, hate you rain
Could you please go away
Oh i hate you, hate you rain
Could you please go away

You're driving me insane
Oh no
Why can't i stop this pain

I hate it when it rains
On the days i wanna play

I hate it when it rains
On the days i wanna play
It's been quite awhile
And i'm not feeling great

But i still have Raine
She cheers me every way
Like a yellow Sun
Shining brightly everyday

But i still hate you, hate you rain
Could you please go away
And i hate you, hate you rain
Cos you're driving me insane

I hate you rain~
Oh yea~

Oh yea, i still hate my voice haha. But i guess the higher key this time helps open up the voice alittle bit more, so it doesnt sound as bad as "Tell Me". I also did alittle key shift for the outro, so yea tt's quite oomph eh? Haha. Damn ego now.

"Solos" was conceived while recording. That's pretty much what i came up with when i just whack. The e-rhythm guitars werent there initially, but after some noodling and riffing around, yea i decided to put them in. Kinda kicks the song into overdrive.

All sounds from the Cube 30. Nothing fancy.

Didn't bother to do vocal harmonising this time. I guess i'm just lazy. And tired. It sounds fine as it is now. Simple and clean enough.

I realise i prefer writing songs than engineering songs. Though it's kind of a painful fun when u try to realise the song in your head into reality. Fun but painful at the same time. Especially when i'm doing it by trial and error most of the time.

Anyways this song is a fun play on Shirui's eng name. So yea, dun get angry ok.

It's been almost a year since i produced a new song. So u can roughly imagine how good are the bands in churning out songs and albums on a yearly basis. Which is why i say this music business is really all about whether you have the flair for writing songs or not. And mind you, songs that stick in people's heads. Hard is probably an understatement.

K gonna crash. Gonna have my perfect scrambled eggs for breakfast as a reward tml. Thanks Gordon Ramsey for teaching my duck-handed gf how to cook. :D

(can't get angry at me, cos i recorded the song already. Immunity for 1 week :P:P:P)
