Just saw a forum post about a cyclist qq-ing that he skidded and fell because a taxi e-braked in front of him. I think he must have been tailgating at high speed and the taxi just suddenly braked (not e-braked). So he braked as well but he's probably not zai enough to handle the sudden deceleration, thus he fell and butt-hurt himself. Seriously, if cyclists want to be road-users, then behave like one. Don't tailgate, SIGNAL, give way and BE VISIBLE. Don't assume the drivers can see you in your brightly coloured pro-cycling outfit. Don't hide in the blind spot of the drivers. Make sure you can see the driver's face through the mirrors. If you can't see him, he can't see you period.
Ultimately, I just feel that those cyclists that are complaining have an overwhelming sense of entitlement, like the government owes them something. But their life is their own, so if they don't take of themselves, they are just gonna be the next road kill. And nobody's gonna care. Really.

My house is still renovating, but the progress is really promising. The bar counter as well as the kitchen sink ideas really opened up the house. The technical challenges involving the LAN cabling has been resolved, and I gotta thank P for the great work. Now let's hope that the brick wall and the parquet is layed soon so that I can have a better idea on decorating the house.
Then again, SR will probably be the one to decide on what to put in the house. I just pay.

Patch 1.04 came and it is really a good patch that brought back the feel of D2 LOD. The thing I liked about D2 LOD was that most classes were not gear-dependent to be effective in hell, and by effective in hell, I mean 1-2 shotting normal monsters. D2 LOD was largely a steam-rolling kind of game. See a huge pack of monsters, spam lots of spells, blow things up, place is cleared, pick up goodies hopefully, repeat. It was supposed to be mindless but fun. And you can try many ridiculous builds in single player to see how it holds up in hell.
D3 was hard pre-1.04, especially for a working man like me. I wished I had the time to farm for godly items but the sad truth is I don't, and my friends who are not working also can't manage to gear up sufficiently to beat inferno on their own. In other words, all of us were owned big time pre-1.04. In Sat's words, "chiu cheng" or hand job. I have no idea why, but it sticks. Hmm. Pun. Anyway, it got so bad that we were satisfied trolling hell games instead of trying to progress in inferno.
And problem with D3 is that, you need good gear to progress, as half the monsters will 1 shot you if you don't. And the best gear can only be found in inferno, which you couldn't beat anyway if you were wearing hell gear. So u need inferno gear to beat inferno, but you can only get inferno gear in inferno. Realise the problem? Some players ended up cheesing/exploiting the game so that they can bypass everything and reach the end bosses, which they kill repeatedly to get the good items. And then they wear the good stuff and begin playing inferno proper. For people like me, all i could do was collect gold and hope to buy some lower-end inferno gear, just so that i can barely stay alive in act 2.
1.04 changed all that, so now you will only need decent gear to progress. So now u need hell gear to beat Act 1 inferno, thereby u can farm for Act 1 inferno gear to beat Act 2 inferno. And so on. The reliance of gear in D3 is still there and probably will never go away, but things have improved. My previous Act 2 gear was good enough for me to clear Act 3 now, albeit a little slowly, but it can be done. Now, it's just a matter of leveling up the paragon levels, though i think it's gonna take a freaking long time. Let's see, i took about 5 days to hit level 10, and thats 1% of the total experience needed to hit level 100. So another 495 days to go. No rush. Just grind at it every day, like grinding for level 99 in D2.
My witch doctor is super fun. And he looks a little wonky. Think i'm gonna paint him blue tonight.
