I'd like to start a movement.

It's called 5 Pushups.

It's a very simple exercise that anybody can do it. Anybody.

Rules are simple:
- Every half an hour, do 5 pushups. In anyway you want it.
- Girls can do theirs with knees on the ground. You can try diamond, wide arm, closed arm, fingers, clapping, dumbbells etc.
- There's no standard pushups. Your pushups are the standard ones.
- If it's not convenient to do it (work, shopping, movie, pple are around) just skip it ;)
- Just do it as and when you are alone.
- Just 5 pushups.

Advanced rules:
You can sneak in another 5 while:
- waiting for something
- stoning in front of the comp
- ads on tv
- before you bathe, after you bathe
- before meals (try not to do it after meals)
List goes on. You can be creative.

Try to log your progress. Why is that so? Cos if you manage an average of 30 a day (3 hrs at home), that's 900 pushups a month. Isn't that amazing? Your body is capable of doing that!

Dun be too hard on yourself when you forget or are unable to do your pushups due to sickness whatsoever. It's ok to cheat alittle. Just aim for the next 5 :)

If you feel really tired, just stop. Dun be too hard on yourself. Start again the next day.

If you are really good, just up the amount you do each time. Like 6? 7? 10? Challenge yourself if you dare!

It's fast (<30 secs), easy (5 pushups), convenient (anytime anywhere), and achievable.

Why did i come up with something like that?

After talking to Sherwin, i realised that alot of people find exercising very daunting and unattainable, only reserved for the really fit and healthy. And every time, these people will think of all sorts of excuses and mental blockades to convince themselves that it's not the right time to exercise, or they're just not in the mood.

Everyone seems to have this preconceived notion tt exercising = long run or a long session in the gym. Seriously, it's not, and many people have taken lotsa small steps to be where they are now. So right now, i'm showing you how to take the small steps.

Exercising is supposed to be fun and easy. Training is tough. It's different.

Dear friends, please support my movement.

I start the ball rolling by doing 25 for today.

How many have you done today? :)
