Finally wrapped up recording! Pretty satisfied with what i got today. Havent mixed properly yet thought. Shall finish up mixing by tml.
Things i learnt:
- If your voice suck ass like mine, add a subtle harmony line underneath it. Instantly creates more volume in your vocals. I like to start with 3rds, then slowly alter the line abit by mixing up with 5ths and 6ths to create more variety.
-Dynamics. Some tracks just have to be louder at some parts, and softer at some parts. I used to be lazy to bother tweaking every single track for volume, but it's really helpful now i've done it, cos it gives more room for your vocals and solos to shine. And it's also less fatigue on the ears.
- Delay is a good alternative to reverb to achieve the stereo-y sound. But it sounds better if the track is not continuous like strummy stuff, cos it will then become messy.
-Mixing with headphones and speakers is totally different sounding. At least for my case. So really have to lan lan and choose one way and live with it. I personally like to mix with headphones mores cos i listen to my own songs alot while on the go, so it's better they sound good in my iPod at least.

Getting slack with the workouts. Hmm. Nvm, shall try to hit 20 pullups no matter what.
