Recording day 2:
- Smoother. Finally got the drums the way i wanted it. Loud sidestick is key. But then i realised something else. Fuck.
- Nailed the acoustic track in 1 take. Pretty proud of myself for that.
- Found ideas/inspiration for the clean track. I like it alot.
- Recorded 2 takes for vocals but din really like them. Melodyne is able to clean up the pitching and wavering voice parts, but feel and oomph is not there somehow.
- Got some ideas for solo, gonna nail them tml due to the cuts on my left hand tt i suffered during ball just now. Grr.
- It's funny how everyone likes my falsetto singing. I think it sounds retarded. And so is the rest of my singing. I sound annoying to me.
Target for tml:
- Redo vocals, try with more emotions, better pronounciation, more oomph, hopefully can gather some vibrato which i think is highly impossible. More 放.
- Finalise solo and nail it.
- Distorted guitar parts. Not yet decided how to do it. Watch the tone too. 2 parts left and right probably.
- Harmony vocals? Gotta think of the line tho. Not gonna too hard with Melodyne around.
- Mix.
Notes to self:
- Nv use grace notes in GP5.
- Cut closed hihat, ride, crashes volume. Really cut splash volume. Boost open hihat volume. Boost sidestick volume up.
- Always tune before recording. Tune before every take. Highly important.
- Contact clean every jack and input before using. Tarnish v fast. Shitass equipment. I need a plastic box to keep all the audio equipment. Tupperware with compartment style. Shirui can try to remind me to purchase this? Thanks hunny.
403 has a wonderful basketball court with a nice and sturdy net. I think i shall go there to shoot nxt time. Net with fence to keep the ball in. How nice lar.
Ball with the guys just now. Was good i guess, everyone's friendly for once. I think i learning to forgive alittle these days. Show good faith to me and i'll show good faith to you i guess.
